Nutella Porridge with Caramelised Bananas - VEGAN, GLUTEN FREE, DAIRY FREE, AND REFINED SUGAR FREE



This porridge is a taste of heaven!

If you are a chocolate lover or maybe I should say a Nutella lover like me you will absolutely love this recipe. This is the perfect bowl of goodness for a grey and cold Monday. The LoveRaw Energise food booster is so delicious when mixed with hazelnut milk, caramelised banana and some cheeky dark chocolate. It’s an incredible combination of Cacao, Maca, Carob, Baobab, Guarana and Moringa. It’s naturally sweet with a hint of caramel (thanks to the Maca). You would never have guessed that it's good for you! 


1/2 cup of oats

1 cup of hazelnut milk + water if needed

1 heaped tablespoon of Love Raw Energise Food Booster - add more if you want it even more chocolatey

1 teaspoon of cacao nibs (optional)

1 teaspoon of maple syrup or agave nectar (optional, if you like to keep it completely sugar free just leave it out)

For the caramelised banana:

1 banana cut into slices

2 tablespoons of coconut sugar

a splash of water


Fresh berries

a dollop of hazelnut butter

A shave of dark chocolate

few chopped hazelnuts

coconut chips

quinoa puffs

or whatever you fancy!


To make the porridge, simply place all the ingredients into a pan and cook it on a medium heat for 10-15 minutes. Keep stirring from time to time and add water if the mixture becomes too dry. You want to have a creamy and gloopy kind of consistency. 

While the porridge is cooking caramelise the banana. Simply place the coconut sugar and the splash of water into a pan and when it starts to bubble add in the sliced banana and let it cook for 5-7 minutes until most of the liquid has been absorbed and you are left with a sticky caramel.

 When the porridge is ready serve immediately with the caramelised banana, berries, a generous dollop of hazelnut butter, dark chocolate and other toppings of your choice.
