To celebrate National Burger Day we have combined a few of our favourite plant based burger recipes from our fav food bloggers to create the ultimate veggie burger - the LoveRaw Turmeric Chickpea Burger! Pimped with our Immunity Food Booster and served with creamy guac & crunchy slaw, it is full of all the good things in life!
- 1 400g can of chickpeas
- 1/2 small red onion
- 2 crushed or finely chopped garlic cloves
- 1 tsp of Immunity Food Booster
- A pinch of chilli flakes
- Salt & pepper
- 2 tbsp of tahini
- 2 tbsp spoons of olive oil
- Rice flour or wholemeal flour to dust
For the garnish:
- 1 tomato
- Slaw - red cabbage, red onion, carrots
- Finely chop the onions and gently fry in olive oil for 3 minutes before adding the crush garlic cloves for a further minute.
- Add the onions and garlic, drained chickpeas, Immunity Food Booster, chilli flakes, salt, pepper tahini and olive oil to a blender and pulse until mixed.
- Make between 3 - 4 patties, lighty coat with flour and place on a lightly oiled tray
- Cook in a pre-heated oven at 180 degrees for 30 minutes.
- Serve with buns of your choice (portobello mushrooms make a great gluten free alternative)
