The Mums of LoveRaw
Have you ever wondered what kind of hijinks our mums were up to when they were our age?
We did too!
So in celebration of Mother’s Day, we asked everyone in the office to reminisce with their mum (or a mum-like-figure) to see what they were doing at the age we are now.
Here’s what we found out!

At 29 she was already mum to me and my brother, who apparently was quite the handful as a baby, and we were a few months off making a move from our hometown to a city far, far away (9ish miles to be precise). We'd just had a four-legged pal named George join the gang who proceeded to chew up and eat an entire stair from our staircase one day so to say she was busy with us all would be an understatement. My mum was celebrating the last year of her 20's and her gift to herself was putting the deposit down on our new home without my dad even seeing it. I might be in a very different spot than her at the same age but I know (and everyone tells me) we are basically twins, which is probably why I agreed to rent a flat recently without my partner having ever seen it...Sorry hun!
MEET JULIE OUR HEAD OF OPERATIONS & HER MUM SUE

At my age my mum was looking after me and two older siblings at my age, as well as having a full time job as a hairdresser.
MEET ROSIE OUR SOCIAL MEDIA AND MARKETING ASSISTANT & HER MUM GISELLA

My mum was 25 in 1987 and was working in London as an office manager for a graphic design company. The company she worked for let her organise and attend photo shoots. She was also used as a hand and lip model! The bosses took all the staff out for lunch every Friday which more often than not got out of hand and everyone would end up not returning to work till the following Monday.
MEET JESS OUR COMMUNITY EXECUTIVE & HER MUM ROSE

This is my mum at my age. In her late 20's she already had children, a mortgage and a steady job. With very little idea that I would be joining her little team in a few years. She had only recently moved to the UK and grafted hard to ensure we had everything. She amazes me in many ways even till this day, but the thing I admire about her the most is her courage and hard work even when things didn't quite go to plan. For that she is always my role model.
P.S. Who knew mom jeans would make a return in fashion…
MEET SAM OUR E-COMMERCE AND MARKETING ASSISTANT & HER MUM SANDRA

At the age of 29, my mum was juggling 3-year-old twin girls and studying at college for her City & Guilds in Painting and Decorating. My dad had just been made redundant and was also studying to be an electrician (honestly they could have their own home makeover TV show!) Times were hard but my mum always remembers how happy we all were then.
FYI the guy in the picture is not my dad although he is rocking a strong 90's look.
MEET MIKE OUR GRAPHIC DESIGNER & HIS MUM ELAINE

At my age, my mum had two young boys. I would have been 7 and my brother would have been 5. At that time, she was a stay at home mum to look after us both.
MEET HANNAH OUR OFFICE MANAGER & HER MUM BERNADETTE

At the age of 28 my mum had just had my older sister Natalie. She had recently brought a new house and was working as a buyer. She was ambitious, a new mum and getting a house ready to move into and start a family - admirable when I am struggling to cook for myself 7 nights a night right (Uber Eats is quite literally my saviour).
So whether you're celebrating together or from afar, today is the day to say thank you for all their unconditional love and support.
Let us know on social how you'll be celebrating your mum! Whether it’s with a cheesy video, flowers, or some special chocolates 😉
