Meet the team: The Ladies Of LoveRaw

LoveRaw was founded by Rimi Thapar ten years ago in 2013, and a lot has happened since then. Including pivoting our product offering to plant-based chocolate, and winning our biggest listing yet in the Tesco Meal Deal.

To mark our tenth year and to celebrate being a female-founded business, we wanted to give you an insight into the ladies of LoveRaw (and the guys are up next).

Peanut Caramel Bar - it’s absolutely delicious!! Oh and I love breaking it up and adding it into my oats!

What does being a woman mean to you?

To me, being a woman signifies empowerment to strive for success through hard work, aiming to achieve my fullest potential, and ultimately leading to a fulfilling and happy life!

Who is an inspirational woman to you and why do they inspire you?

I actually feel so inspired by our late Queen, she was thrown into the deep at such a young age and always ruled the roost!

What’s the best thing about working at LoveRaw?

The team are amazing and we all work so hard but have a lot of fun along the way.

What do you do day-to-day in your role?

As LoveRaw grows, Operations is getting more demanding by the month! Mia and I manage forecasting, demand planning, production, client management, firefighting day to day problems, inventory management and of course I drink lots of tea!!

Nutty Choc Balls!! I’m actually obsessed with the amount of nuts you get in one ball and how delicious and smooth the hazelnut cre&m is! I’m definitely the reason behind us having no stock in the office whoops..

What does being a woman mean to you?

I feel empowered to be a woman and to work with other inspiring women at LoveRaw. I like to embrace my femininity within my career because I think women bring different strengths to the party!

Who is an inspirational woman to you and why do they inspire you?

My Nana- She was always so hard working and never gave up. No matter what problem came along she would always go into things with a positive look and outcome and turn the negatives into positives.

What’s the best thing about working at LoveRaw?

We have such a great team and we all work so well together! The office is really nice too and obviously the unlimited choc is also a huge bonus!

What do you do day-to-day in your role?

No two days are the same; I could be in the office catching up on admin, out on the road meeting clients or new customers, or in London holding sampling events or exhibiting at trade shows. Thankfully I have LoveRaw in the car or on the train with me at all times as my go to snack!

This is a tough one, but I think I would choose the Caramelised Biscuit Wafer - I love the original flavour anyway, but to have it wrapped up in a creamy wafer is next level!

What does being a woman mean to you?

To me, being a woman means being independent and working hard to create a life you love for yourself, whilst supporting those around you.

Who is an inspirational woman to you and why do they inspire you?

My mum, she came over from the northern Irish countryside in her early twenties to winning Tech Saleswoman of the Year for Europe… I’m so proud of you mum!

What’s the best thing about working at LoveRaw?

There is always something to be excited about - whether that’s launching on our first airline, or organising a sampling roadshow across the UK - we can afford to be bold and playful in our marketing which makes for some great campaigns.

What do you do day-to-day in your role?

I am part of the marketing team, and work on a variety of tasks from leading our campaign activity, collaborations, and events, to briefing our ambassadors on their latest monthly content challenge.

It’s got to be the White Choc Wafer - I’m a bit addicted. It’s just the right amount of sweet and I LOVE the creamy filling… goes great with my coffee!

What does being a woman mean to you?

We are happy, free, confused and lonely at the same time. It’s miserable and magical.

Who is an inspirational woman to you and why do they inspire you?

Taylor Swift lol - she is amazing and I’m obsessed - do I really need to say anymore?!

What’s the best thing about working at LoveRaw?

The team, being creative everyday and all the free choc!

What do you do day-to-day in your role?

I create a range of graphics across the business for print, web and socials.

Favourite product?

It has to be the Salted Caramel Wafer. The combination of sweet and salty is always a winner in my eyes!

What does being a woman mean to you?

Being a woman to me means being surrounded by a community of like minded girls who are supportive, considerate to others and who work together to bring each other up.

Who is an inspirational woman to you and why do they inspire you?

As cliche as it is, it’s definitely my mum. She’s my biggest supporter in everything and is the most selfless person I know.

What’s the best thing about working at LoveRaw?

Definitely the team dynamic - everyone works so hard to keep things moving and will really let loose when it comes to celebrating new product launches and big wins!

What do you do day-to-day in your role?

Order processing, customer queries, working with our manufacturers, stock management - there’s plenty to do!

I would say it's very close between the Nutty Choc Balls and the Milk Choc Wafer

What does being a woman mean to you?

I think it's about paving the way for the next generation, breaking glass ceilings and barriers.

Who is an inspirational woman to you and why do they inspire you?

Has to be my mother, she was the best role model and I wouldn't have achieved half of what I have today without her influence.

What’s the best thing about working at LoveRaw?

It's the highs and lows, sometimes it's not the end destination but the journey getting there.

What do you do day-to-day in your role?

I oversee marketing, new product development and business strategy.
